Manuel Rachadell

Manuel Rachadell is a very prestigious professional in the field of public law. His academic work in research, teaching and publications is extensive and recognized. With almost six decades of professional practice, Professor Rachadell has distinguished himself as an advisor for the reform of the state, from 1969 onwards. During that period, he has advised the governments of Rafael Caldera, Luis Herrera Campins, and Carlos Andrés Pérez. He was also a member of the Presidential Commission for the Reform of the State (COPRE) between 1985 and 2000. He has been a key figure in several cases challenging the results of national elections in Venezuela. Professor Rachadell, likewise, has an important trajectory in management, both public and private, which extends from 1974 to date.

  • Head Professor of Public Finance at the UCV School of Law (1988-2008), and at the UCV School of Political Studies (1996-1999).

  • Professor of Principles of Public Law at the Law School of Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (1969-1971).
